    Farms in Geraldine Friendly to Rabbit Hunting

    Hi all

    Me and my stepfather are looking for a farm in the geraldine area friendly to casual rabbit shooting
    I have .22 rimfire while he has a .22 air rifle

    Go knocking on doors is your best option, act responsible and listen to what the landowner says regarding areas of 'no-go' and what's in the background. Do this during the day and don't show up with firearms when asking permission, just count the first trip as a reply. Expect a few doors to shut in your face but theres surely one or two around d who will say yes

    +1 also don't turn up in your Rambo/camo outfit.

    When im heading up someones drive for the first time the first thing to come off is the sharkys

    Yep I agree the only way is cold calling. I would say I have about an 80% success rate by cold calling. Be respecful and don't call at meal times. Be prepared to have a yarn and chew the fat. Good luck.

    we lived in geraldine awhile, rabbits are pretty sparse. i saw more hares than bunnies

    Spend a week end in the Tekapo area.Bring lots of ammo.
