Just wondering if anyone actually wears out any gear these days? The posts I see are often including all the latest stuff off the shelves and not much of last year's gear. We must have cupboards full of stuff that will never be used again. A mate of mine commented about my old top a while ago and I replied that it was the latest thing ten years ago. I think that guys are every bit as bad as the girls when it comes to shopping. Just different stuff. C'mon folks. I challenge you to have a sort out and give it away to young guys and girls who are keen as mustard and cant afford much.

I know @sambnz has had the same pair of longjohns the whole time I've known him... they look like fishnet stockings now but he still uses them Haha. I don't buy "hunting brand" stuff and I'm a farmer so most of my "hunting" clothing gets worn on a daily basis. Had a Swazi tahr, old goretex model for about 10 years that was the only thing that was hunting only and I didnt use it on the farm, it finally started to leak a bit so bought an Aegis Tahr Xp a couple years back to replace it but the old one still gets used as a windproof layer. I have gone full circle with quite a lot of my gear, ie tents, bought a Terra Nova a few years back, used it for a bit, then drank the cool aid and started buying different tents and now back to using a Terra Nova again.
