Glory blocks
Hi team looking for some information on the glory blocks on Stewart island.
Deer numbers?
Prevailing wind.
What you took that really came in handy. (Not the obvious i.e. GPS)
Boat access, tides moorings.
And anything else that I may have missed?
Cheers Sideshow

We were in Little glory about 4 years ago. The shark diving boat was hanging around a bit, had a very large shark swim under our tin is. No way I would get in the water for paua.

Prevailing westerly, someone's sw easterly is bloody cold.
Haven't been to glory blocks myself but the salmon and mussel guys see nimble quite a bit so they must be there.
Easiest thing for white tail is too wander around for the day looking for sign. Once you find a good patch with reasonable visibility Park yourself up here for the evening and sit and wait. In general the bush here is noisy with crown fern undergrowth and they are flighty little deer.
Wetsuit is always worth chucking in, even if you end up hunting in it in the rain.

Hmmm as expected.
I'm pretty good at bring sneaky been twice to the island. Once Fred's camp and once Heron river.
Got 3 each time. So the stalking doesn't bother me I know what to expect.
After the last time at port adventure I'll not go diving again! :O_O: had rather a to close encounter :O_O::O_O:
I'll stick to the boat and cockles.
Just wondering if any good heads had come out of those blocks compared with further south.
Cheers
