Hangouts, pigs vs deer
I have done deer stalking and figured out the likely sorts of areas deer hangout, when bush stalking pigs, do they ushally hang out in simillar areas or are they looking for something different as a bedding or feeding area. I have noticed they like to root around in flat creek bottoms and often tops of hills, but I have never spent much time bush stalking where pigs are common.

Greg Duley did quite good article on this in mag a year or two back......someone might remeber which issue...you could ask him yourself.
if its hot n dry, pigs will be close to water...they prefer native to pines as does everything, more feed and better cover....
swampy bits always good, but pigs are where you find them,it constantly amazes me when I bump into them out in tussock country some distance from any cover or creeks.
