    Just get out on DOC land and go for a walk. There are plenty of deer around over the next few months. Where abouts in mid canterbury are you?

    There is a heap of hunting available in Canterbury to anyone who wants it. Get out of bed early and get walking. PM me if you really are stuck for ideas.

    Hot tip - much easier to get onto deer on your own.
