I do a sort of a mew/meh noise whenever I disturb animals with the noise of my movement, it usually seems to keep them hanging around - until they see or smell me.

I tried it once when there was a young hind grazing on the neighbouring property, it worked well, she came trotting up the hill and over the boundary fence. I suspect it may only work at certain times of the year (when fawns are around), iirc it was December when I tried it.
It does work. We use it on a mob of hinds using a game caller. My son and I were flat on the ground face down and boy we had them on a string. Finally we got a nice stag to come and investigate the kerfuffle. Nothing killed but plenty of laughs.

It brings the stags straight in and even doing it when you not sure animals are there will bring not only Stag but others in
I have found here where I live - they do wizen up to it

You do not do it through your nose - but you do sort of nasal it - if that makes sense
I have taught a few and I say to them - say Nea - like Na in no, but with that nasal pitch to it
So it ends up more like Neearr

Roaring works in country that has had no pressure and it works in the 12-24 hour testosterone peak of a Stag when he lost his marbles completely
But this Neea - works all year round

    PS
Next time you drive past a Deer Farm with Deer in front paddock - stop and do it - watch the reaction
Paragraph 3 right on the money. Exactly like that.

Separate question. What’s the stuff he’s sticking in his drink bottle? Thought it was purifier but looks to be a supplement of some kind.
It's all fun and games till Darthvader comes along
I respect your beliefs but don't impose them on me.

Mountain Ops, basically just sugar powder, some people swear by it though. @Sideshow

I use Science in Sport tablets(SIS), 0 calories and it doesn't destroy your teeth with sugar.
