    Horomanga Parking

Hi guys. Planning to head up the Horomanga this weekend and not to keen on leaving the car at the road end.

Does anybody know of any alternatives? Friendly farmer maybe?

I dont blame you for not wanting to leave your vehicle there. I try and get dropped off and picked up elsewhere having had troubles with break-ins.

Try the first driveway/house on the right. I dont know them but they have let my old man park at their place before.

The farmer is a good bloke. Even dropped us off at the car park at 9pm at night.

The farmer up the horomanga liked steinlager pure I believe. You shouldn't have issues, I have parked my car there plenty of times. Normally only the odd issue in summer when the locals from just down the road come up and swim. Have mates who live in galatea and they reckon it is not as bad as it used to be

Put some Maori litritue on the seat as well as Kitte or 2. When I was cutting tracks and building huts in there, my local team that they would never touch a vehicle owned by Maori, maybe a TeHoe sticker.

Yeah he reckoned that there were 15 locals swimming in the river and it wouldn't have been there when we got back. I suppose it depends on who comes down to check the car park.
