my elberstock (spelt wrong? you know what i mean)
Is looking pretty mangey brown with soaked in blood and doesn't smell to flash when it gets wet.
Iv always been the wash your socks and undies the rest will look after itself type when it comes to hunting, but its new almost and looks and smells bad.
Its not water proof but would hate to loose what little water shedding ability it has.
Soak it in some warm soapy water and give it a rub with your hands?
I've tried quarter filling the bath with warm water and using snotloads of nappysan then after half an hour or an hour soaking two rinses with clear water
If that doesn't kill the smell move up the grunt level towards bleach but don't leave anything in bleach too long as it rots it out
I once got melted butter through an old pack years ago and had to throw it out - fucken stunk

Washing Instructions:To wash the packs we recommend using a mild scent free detergent and a high pressure hose or pressure washer on the spray setting. Please hang dry the packs and do not use a washing machine or dryer.

I blast mine with the hose and just dry it out in sun for 5 days in the wind. Seems to work.

It'll be worthwhile reproofing ur pack regardless of what or how u wash it. Spray on stuff is fine.

It almost started to rain and was going to throw it on the deck to soak but it stopped before the deck even got wet.
Think Il chuck it in the bath with sports wash to soak then water blast it:thumbsup:
Two caps of sport wash in the bath a couple of hours soak then a few plunges the water was dark reddybrown:D
A rinse and after being on the line for the day it looks brand new again and doesn't smell of anything:thumbsup:
What to water proof with? I like aerosols because Im lazy, whats a good one that works and doesn't smell?
I use Nikwax from.... well you can guess. Waterproofs my bimi top on the boat and my jacket. I haven't noticed any smell but then I am not a deer!!Quote:

Mild soap and water. Give it a light scrub. I would avoid drying it in the sun though as this will age it quite fast, preferable to let it dry in the shade.
