Just wondering how much a basic reloading setup is
What cals are you reloading for, how many rounds a year approx?
Id wait for second hand deals.... probably going to be a few guys spitting the dummy and quitting if the 'book burning' I mean 'semi banning' goes ahead.
You can load with a Lee Loader, projectiles, powder and primers.
Slow, but it’ll work.
I started with a lee loader and a set of scales, just using the dipper might be a bit sketchy, it only does 1 calibre and is a bit slow but it's good for working out how it all works and only costs $100.
Other than that lee do some basic kits for around $300 plus $80 for dies, then all the consumables primers powder and bullets I would allow another $200-$250 but that would make 100 rounds and still have some powder left over.
Anyone have any experience with a Hornady Classic press reloading kit? Worth it?
The Lee kits are great, providing you take the scales and throw them as far away as possible.
Buy a Lee kit, and some decent rcbs scales and you'll be away laughing.
Although please remember, loading ammo requires non-negotiable amounts of patience and attention to detail!
Completely depends on what quality you want to buy and how much you want to spend.
