Somewhat new to town, been here 2 months. Putting out the feelers to see if anyone could point me in the right direction on wheres to hunt, or better yet a good bunch to get in with. Anyone have any contacts that I could get in touch with, as I see there are heaps of animals around, but don't want to go crossing fences.
Lookin forward to hearing what ya have to say. Keen on getting a few goats, and deer of course. Tahe and Chamios will be something new for me
Not sure anyone is going to give up their contacts, but ya never know! Pop into the DOC office and they can point you in the direction of where to get onto goats.
FYI Last Thursday of the month is the Southern Lakes NZDA meeting night (at the Arrowtown Bowling Club). Come along and introduce yourself. There a few goat shoots coming up.
up north of Glenorchy, I have seen lots of deer before and there is sign said "no shooting within 200m from road and fence"
