    Hunting otawa forest

    Hi fellow hunters,

I'm looking at hunting Otawa for the first time and would appreciate any tips or wise words someone has for that area. Has any body been out there lately? What would be the best access to take in to the bush.
    Cheers.

Sunny side of the ridges, head up Manoeka rd and leave your gig at the Otawa lodge parking area. Head up towards the dam and bang a left onto any sunny face getting your creep on. Can be quite noisy underfoot up in there. Haven't been up there for a while but by all accounts theres still plenty in there. Other option would be to head in from Mountain rd or Demeter rd.

Been in from Demeter Road twice since Christmas. Very little deer sign for two hours in. Shot a nice solitary billy goat and found fresh red deer front leg hocks discarded by someone who scored.
Hard hunting, but has to be expected so close to populous
