Give it a crack if only for the experience

On a trip down Clemments about 5 years ago for a weekend. Thought for breakfast both mornings I would just have honey on bread. Was pretty cold. The marg was too hard to spread and the liquid honey had set so had bread with blobs of honey. About 7am the car windows started to ice over

It is moments like that which are remember, not the ones sitting at home (I have an excuse to stay home now )

Hunting in the snow can be very cold and wet. Suggestions, Keep out of the bush like Tahr says as great lumps of snow dropping from trees is not a fun experience, for some reason it always seems to land on the back of your neck.

Do not wear Bullers, cold, very cold feet, I have done one trip when there was a good dump of snow in the Urewera and my mate ended up with his feet up my jersey as his feet were freezing.

Try to keep your rifle warm as it has been known for the firing pin to freeze and with that there is no bang
