Info on parking. Arthur's pass area.

Hi all, would any know what the parking or how safe it is to park over night around the bridge area that leads into anti crow hut is like? Heading down that way next week and was thinking of a little look for a chamios. First time into Arthur's pass so thought I should just go for a look. Cheers

Park at bealey pub for a donation into their charities boxes. High break in rate at track ends through there.

Probably as good as anywhere, fingers crossed I've never had a problem leaving a vehicle there but I only go mid week.
Shut up, get out & start pushing!

I parked for 3 nights recently at the end of the gravel road/track that leads down to the Waimak from about 1.5km north of the bridge. No problems for me or any of the other cars I saw parked there.

Road has a few decent potholes so maybe the Chch bogans can't get down it with their lowered cars? People camp there too which I guess means dodgy buggers are more likely to get spotted.

Bonus is its a shorter walk up the valley from there too.

I wouldn't park on left in trees, have seen a couple of break ins that side, over the bridge and up the side
    Slightly less of a walk

Used to be a few chamois up the head of the Jordan many moons ago when I lived in CH CH and hunted the area. A lot of folks forget about the front country...
