Does anyone have any knowledge of the DOC land between Turangi and Lake Rotoaira? Not after a "spotX" but want to take my rifle for a walk and hopefully get a feed.
Going to the Central NI this weekend but spoiled for choice between Erua, behind Owhango or that spot. Any feedback out there?
Pihanga saddle worth a look or anywhere south of there. Tons of land.
Ok I'll be more specific. I want spot x. Must be no more than 5 paces into the bush with a Ute tray full of deer waiting to be shot.

Yeah. I went with Erua in the end. Poisoned 4 months ago . The Erua rd end had no poison sign but fishers track did (Found out after ). Lots of pig and some deer sign and heard but couldn't close on a pig in the way in. Heard something massive crashing through on the way out too but lost it.Quote:
