Thats not a slip!! This is a slip!!

The days of "side throw" are over, all the material must be benched or carted away...we must all be environmentally friendly nowadays.
Was interesting watching them build the forestry roads...instead of pushing all the top earth off and over the side, they had to dig it out and put it on the roadway and then put masses of rock material on the soggy mess to form the road with the help of a big roller. On one piece they backed up and tipped load after load as if it was a stockpile and then got the grader and roller up on top and hammered it down to road level.
sounds like a recipe for slumping.
In the case of clearing a slip they would only be putting it where mother nature intended it to go!

By benching they remove the layer of vegetation that the slip is sitting on.
That's not a slip, this is a slip! Into a granny state where we will all have to wear bubble wrap.
