    Depends a bit on what your 'clean kill' means. I have seen deer shot in the head, neck, heart [not all at once] that have travelled some distance and yet I have shot an animal in the stomach and she moved no more than 3 metres...sorry to say but I believe it has much to do with calibre and the charge behind it as to where the shot is placed.
