Thread: "late" sika territory calls

Morning all, just got out of the kaimanawa tops after a few days looking for a spring deer- spring isn't on the tops yet.

Whilst cruising through a bush section I heard a sika stag territory calling, is this common as late as October/November?

Was good to have the pup in tow but at nearly 10 years old she needs a few more breaks and luckily it isn't too hot up there yet. Still can't beat hunting with your dog.
