Let's see your DIY shooting rests for longer shots in the bush

I probably made a hash of the title but the gist of the question is what sort of things have people made and put into the bush so you have a more ideal rest when shooting over a clearing or sunny face

    Cheers.

This one is pretty solid and resulted in a dead goat at a measured 509 metres.

I just use my day bag or pack. Works pretty well if you have time. And you arn't having to carry anything extra.

I remember seeing a photo of a rest used in rusa country which was a length of branch suspended by ropes - a bit like a heavy swing or trapeze. Perhaps useful when lying down and using your backpack doesn't give enough elevation. Anyone tried that?

they took out the target just before directing staff reamed both out for the antic! the other with modern troopies -well the stance when i first saw it left me speechless -FFS what would ya mates say -"'oh look newtons 3rd law of gravity in action -its a blowjob either way!"
wonder how the kneeler felt when this was circulated.OUCH

Do people no longer practise the art of free standing shots without rests?

That bush in the distance looks an unholy distance away. I would have guessed it was 800 M.

    No. Sounds interesting.

I was just going to use a waratah or something like that.

The shot I missed was 173 M away. I was aiming up hill and the ground was sloping down hill. I used my knees but want something better.
