    About 20 years ago we were dropping down to the beach (from the south) and a guy with a rifle came running towards us.
    He had spotted a doe in the dunes above the beach and asked us to wait in the bush so we didn't spook her. We waited until we heard a shot plus a bit longer. This would have been around midday or early afternoon in late February, so expect deer at any time.
