    Question Long Range Hunting Course

    Hi

Im from Germany and will visit all NZ from beginning of June till the beginning of July.
Im interested in learning basics in hunting (including butchering), in combination with long range shooting, up to 1000 meters (including calculation of the ballistic trajectory).
500m is the maximum I shot before.

So if there is any body, who knows about some clubs or people who offer these things, please tell me.
If you have questions about me or any thing please ask!

    Thank you!

Welcome to the forum Simon. It would help to tell us where in New Zealand you are going to be.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

You'd be lucky to find a course like that providing gear I'd say ...

    Thanks a lot guys!

I can imagine that it could be a bit difficult with out of any shooting gear!
And thats why I actually looked for a course who offers to provide gear an every thing which is necessary.

If you can't find anywhere else I can supply a piece of land for up to 800m practice close to Auckland but you would need to find rifle, teacher and good weather. I might tag along though
Possibly some goats for a butchery lesson too.
