Went to buy some camouflage trousers the other day but I couldn't find any.
Not pretty. Surely a drop of loctite would have been easier and tidier?
Used to be a fine wine - now I'm vinegar.
I built this rifle up for myself about 5 years ago after my L42 style No4 .308 struggled after 800 metres (probably my fault). It is in .30/06 and throws a 167 grain Lapua scenar at 2950 fps for 0.5 MOA groups. I found an old M17 action which I modified to Rem 700 dimensions, altered the bolt handle and removed the magazine belly. I fitted and chambered a 10" twist John Thompson (Azumith barrels, Christchurch) hand-lapped CM #5 blank which I finished at 26" and threaded for the over-barrel suppressor of my own design and manufacture. The trigger is a tweaked Timney Sportsman, a laminated Boyds semi-finished blank which I pillar bedded, 20 MOA Brownells Rem 700 LA base, and a Sightron SIII 6-24 mildot scope. I bead-blasted and blued it. The 26" barrel allows the use of slow powder (ADI 2214SC) to give good velocity at low pressure. I started out using IMR 4350 but got a few pressure problems with it at the upper end velocities. Now that summer is here again I will have to drag it out a bit more!

What suppressor is that @HNTMAD? Does it still feel nicely balanced? I like the idea of having the full length barrel.

It rubs on your gear if its on the inside(drop chart). Like on your pack belt, knife and stuff.
These are my two main rifles, first is Sako 85 finnlight in 270wsm, VX6 3-18x44 b&c illuminated, DPT magnum overbarrel, nice simple rig that works well, accurate, easy to carry, packs a punch out to silly distances.
And second is my latest project Rem 700 action, 26" shillen select match heavy contour fluted chambered in 6.5-284, Ken Henderson carbon fibre stock, Leupold VX3 LR 4.5-14x50, I'm going to have a terminator brake put on it and call it done.
