Thread: Looking for places to shoot

Hey guys,

I'm looking for places to shoot goats, possums and rabbits around Christchurch.

Does anyone have some farmland they don't mind me shooting bunnies on?

I'm a safe, responsible, licensed and active shooter. Just have no idea where to go and the doc websight is no real help.

Might be a bottle of wild turkey in it for ya haha.

Was hoping for someone to take me out for a hunt as well as I haven't done much and keen to learn. I'm on leave this week and keen to tag along on a hunt.

Waipara river is pretty good for an evening shot if you go up stream good chance of getting a pig to.

Do you start from double corner road and head up?

From the waipara bridge down is good just watch the soft gravel bars if your driving there is a good lagoon at the end to usually a few birds in it...summer is the best time as the river gets very shallow....if you want to try for a hog look on the map you will see how to get there often when the rosehip berrys are ripe the pigs come down you can tell if they have been eating them by there red slopy turds...stick to the river bed though as there used to be a rather grumpy fella that lives at the end in the forestry probably still there. have a look on here before go you can see the old paper roads Walking Access Mapping System
