The DOC Stoney Creek side is a soft access for people poaching that block. You might find some new friends.
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

yes - why do you ask? i understand that there are a number of "strategic clearings" in this block and some good leading ridges but its thick. would like to see what other suggestions are around to make sure we do it smart as the booking is short.

Ask Chris to buz around the block on the way in. He will.

If you have used Chris before you will know this, but he's a wealth of information and will give you some good pointers if you ask.

Hunted this block in the roar last year, plenty of animals, snow damage on the north facing slopes still made travel pretty difficult in places. Some nice punga guts where travelling was easy and the deer were holding.

Is a nice clearing on a well worn track directly behind the hut didn’t give it much time as can’t sit still but would catch mid morning sun well.

Found a frequented “poachers camp” had missed them by a day or so.....

Well set up camp and Chris will see you right
