people in different parts of the world eat different foods depending on what grows there or lives there etc. That doesn't mean that every population has a good diet. What it does mean is that we can look for correlations between health and diets and also sickness and local diets. Bowel cancer is a big killer in nations like ours and various European nations that consume a lot of fatty meat or have done until recently. Yet bowel cancer is virtually unknown in most Asian countries.
As hunters we have access to high quality wild meat. Meat that is low fat compared to domestic livestock but in reality has fat in the correct ratio to protein and that protein is quality, so it seems only right that we match that good meat with good quality vegetables and fruits and enjoy good health. Lets be proud of providing quality food for ourselves and families and tell the anti gunners so!

@Lucky Sorry I missed this first time round - that's interesting that you get away with more on the trail. I have to stick to it pretty closely. I'm looking for a good FODMAP energy bar recipe right now. The Monash University website has a lot of really good information and recipes.

@WillB sent you a PM re FODMAP

In short you are what you eat and if you are an active hunter you are also exercising and enjoying life , diabetes is a game changer for a lot of people in this country and you would be surprised how many others have issues with certain foods but this shouldn’t stop you doing the things you love to do you just have to be more organised and plan your meals .

Your stomach /gut almost has a brain of its own , if you are brain dead and on life support in a hospital bed and they are feeding by a tube your gut still works and you will still poop !
