Me and a mate are looking at going to Mid King Bivvy for 3 nights in the school holidays. Just wondering what would be the best way to get there? Thinking of punching up and bush bashing from Mitre Flats. Anyone been there recently?

I haven't been there for years but that would be the quickest way i'd say, I've only ever gone there via Jumbo over the pinnacles.
A mate and I flew in there 10+ years ago and walked out down the ridge to Mitre flats hut and walked out the track.
Wasn't too bad going down and out might be a grind walking in that way!
No bush bashing required. Head up Sth Mitre Stream and there’s a pretty good track all the way up the spur from Baldy Creek.
