    To Misery and back

I have just got back from a few days spent in the Nelson Lakes area and will let the pictures do the talking.

The track is aptly named. Good to see they have put a toilet up there. Last time I was up that way there were nice little parcels behind the hut amongst the boulders.

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

That photo of the better half with the lake in the background is a wall hanger mate.

Thanks its 25 years, since I was last up there, got caught in a bad blizzard first time in. Two of us came very close to perishing, hypothermic cold to the point, that I thought I was dreaming, when a gap in the fog showed a little hut, we were desperately looking for, mate has already shed his jacket, the rain/wind/ cold and river crossings ensured, we would have been in real trouble, if that little bivi wasn't found.
Any how, thanks for the photos, its a lovely place in the first rays of morning sun shine, and in the half dozen trips, I did onto misery, always got onto deer or chamois
