Luv2safari, I’m only a year younger than you…but I can relate. Shooting or not, staying afield with the young ones will keep you happy for a long time. That lad got a special gift in that rifle, it will never be just a rifle to him! Good on you both!

Yes your heart is still in it but the body tends to slow up, but as you say there are lots of other things to do to make life easier for the younger ones in camp. I am sure after all the years hunting you would be a fine cook.
Great looking pronghorn to finish on but you never know an easy one may present a shot for you in the future. All the best.

I have to admit, I got a bit of a lump in my throat reading that... we will all face the end of our hunting at some point. Congratulations on the hunt, and or ending your hunting career on a high note!
