    National comp,Fallow Deer 1st

    Dont know if i had put a pic up of this head, i did on the other forum and someone told me it was not as big as i scored it.
    Photos didn't do it justice, anyway.
    Congratulations to Gore NZDA member Chris Cowan for this beaut beast it looks to have taken out 1st place.

    It is an amazing Whitetail and would be the the best 8 ever shot in NZ.
    My mates missus was getting cranky with him wandering around the house procrastinating about going for a hunt at the end of last roar.
    He decided to go for a night or 2 chasing whitetail and managed to get the No4 in the NZ record book and it is the only 8 pointer in the top 10. Jammy prick.
    It is an amazing head.
    Forum member Greyghost could have shot it once before but for some reason or another didnt.
    Very nice fallow Mal.

    Dave, the champion head was a 9 point Whitetail and was over 400DS equivalent.

    Can only score as an 8 mate. Sorry didnt point that out. It is the one, as I have had it in my hands ogleing it more than once. And there hasnt been a better one shot in NZ for some time. It is the best 9 pointer then..... If it had a matching tine it would be No 1

    Sweet its a nice fallow .Ive heard there's a new nz record Fallow taken from waitomo or some where near ,its gonna go to number 1 not sure what any one else has heard or seen .
