    I have a simple ceramic rod set up.... its in a wee wooden box/holder....looks like two taylormade ciggys stuck in angled holes like a set of bunny ears...all you do is stroke knife across the rods,one side then the other...you hold knife edge down and keep it verticle...angle is set for you by the rods....just about idiot proof...has to be for me to use it.
