    New to NZ

    Hi everybody,

I'm new here (this is actually my first post), and I was wondering if anybody had any advice. I'm currently in the US, and I am going to visit the South Island in late May to do some bowhunting for Chamois and Tahr for around ten days. I'm not looking for a trophy or anything, I'd be perfectly happy with a doe. I know nothing is free, and I'm not looking for anything specific, but if anyone is interested, I have access to private mule deer hunting in the states, as well as experience hunting antelope and elk in southern and central idaho. If you're headed that way and interested in some info/hunting swap I'll be hunting both come late August (Mule deer in november). I've attached a picture of a mule deer I took a few years ago with the bow. Anyway, I'm currently planning on driving into whataroa from Christchurch, and hunting the abel lake area, but that's very tentative. Any advice would be appreciated!

    Thanks
