And I'll be getting an SKS 7.62x39 so probably deer/pigs/goats what not, I'd do birds like ducks and pheasants but I've heard its really hard finding places to shoot with a shotgun.
As I said I'm just getting into it over here, I used to do it with a bow back in Scotland.

My choice wouldnt be a Sks for hunting, except they are cheap. I'd suggest a bolt action.
