    new study on deers vision

Video: New Study Sheds Light on What Deer See | Outdoor Life

Cohen found that deer see blue colors best and red colors the worst. Deer can also see greens, yellows and UV light, but they canít differentiate color shades to that extent that humans can.

What this means to a hunter is that you should avoid wearing anything blue. You should also avoid wearing camouflage with a lot of white, because white reflects all colors, including blue. And because deer canít perceive color shades very well, a hunter wearing camouflage containing many subtle shades of green and/or brown looks just like one big blob to deer. Instead, wear camouflage that breaks up your outline and move as little as possible to avoid being busted.

    new study on deers vision

Meh. Been discussed a million times on dozens of forums. Eyesight is not a deers strongest defence mechanism, they see movement not detail. You need to be more wary of contrast, ie white faces and hands in a dark environment. That's what catches their eye, not what colour or camo you're wearing.

Their hearing and smelling abilities are what you need to beat, do that successfully and you won't have any trouble shooting deer regardless of what you are wearing. For what it's worth I've stalked and shot heaps of deer while I'm wearing blue jeans.
