    Ngaawapuarua to Otutu/Manson

    Has anyone done this route lately?
    What's it like?

    The bridge was cut down and the track is abandoned due to access issues. Was up there a couple years ago and it looked ok from the Otutu top

    Can't see the river from the Otutu tops. We'll see how the back feels in a couple of weeks. In the meantime there's cider to bottle, stout to drink and IPA to dream about.

    I was keen to go for a wander down the ridge but ran out of time. I bet its freekin cold on those tops today

    Yeah will be. I love the winter though. Got good gear so nice to be out when everyone else is at home.
    Hoping to do a bit of a loop from hut ot hut over 5 or 6 days. Won't be hunting as I cant carry much.
