Good news for us locals, Nelson lakes isnt going to be 1080 this year to to low rat numbers and low beech seeding they saying. Cant believe DOC has done a u turn...maybe its more to do with the low kea numbers after last time and trying to save the few remaining birds ;). Anyway, its only good news:thumbsup:
Now let's hope the rest of country does a u-turn

Know of a small local area DOC, where the possum monitoring was close to zero. 10 km away in another area was quite high. Guess what, both areas were done, they said it couldn't be left as they were working nearby.Quote:
