Hi,
Has anyone been into the Northern Ruahines since the big 1080 drop? Was wondering what the deer numbers were like? I've heard there is plenty of grass on some major slips in there but not sure of animals numbers?
Cheers ,Karlos

From the trips we have done there seems to be just as many in there now as before the drop mate.
Good luck

No animals. @ARdave killed the last stag and 1080 killed everything else. Pureoa and Kaimais is where its at.
I herd the 1080 drop went so well there isnt even any flys left up there
Yup, its an ill wind that brings no good. No deer left in the drop zone, but at least no flies.
Very funny bunch of spinners. Ha ha ha ha ha ha . Ya musy all be bored silly.
@Woody did you hear the interview last Friday on National radio (about mid morning)? A researcher was tracking bird calls before and after 1080 in the Aorangis.

I'll have a listen when I'm not bored silly @Tahr
Because usually after a 1080 drop there is sfa to hear.
We all suffer from that problem @7mmwsm. However, the eyeballs also don't deceive and nor does the nose.
