About LinkBacksDoes anone here know what is happening are doing in these photos? I'm sure a few of you will know (I've posted them elsewhere in the past). Clue = they were taken in New Zealand in the early 1900's.

The animals look too big for Chamois.

Great stuff , imagine how long those animals would have been in those crates ? . Wonder if they where shipped out that way ? .I'm guessing they probably where .

If i was to guess i would say it was a red deer release, from what i have heard they used to crate them for transport and then sometimes get housed in stables for a time which seen the death of a few through their natural instinct to jump. They would knock themselves out on rafters if they didn't kill themselves.
