Clubs with approved access to non public hunting blocks is the key reason several clubs in Southland have experienced an increase in membership applications.

The problem is clubs are having to vet more carefully; some of those applicants have already been individually blacklisted by the key holders, and are consequently trying to ‘sneak in’ via whatever club will accept them.
