    Hey All,
    Interested to know if anyone here puts any hunting effort in on doc land around ohakune side of the mountain.
    This area was 1080d a couple of years ago so I'm interested to know how the deer population was impacted
    Any info?

    I used to. There will still be a few deer in there and potential for a decent stag.

    The mountain Road gets a lot of attention during the roar, would be a bit fresh up there at present, do a recon in spring when the animals start to move again.
