    I'm heading down those ways in a couple of months not looking for anyone's spot x just a good place to start for a look around cheers if anyone can help

    head into the 42nd traverse. use google earth or Walking Access Mapping System to find the clearings/slips. watch them morning and night.

    Yea gets a bit shitty in winter. Doesn't help it when 4wd clubs go through and dig holes. Though I never had too many problems on a quad in winter. Top and bottom of the bridge use to be quite shitty

    The 42nd is closed to 4x4's over winter. I've always wanted to check out Erua forest. Not too far from Owhango...

    I was in Erua not long ago and I saw more human sign than animal. Mind you that could have just been my lack of knowledge of the place
