As I can't find one second hand, I'm going to get a new gunworks spartan suppressor. For those in the know how long does it take to sort the paperwork now before it can be sent?
Cheers

Depends how efficient you local police are
heck, its what 5hrs each way to drive...order it and pop down to pick it up,much easier, your other half will be happy to have excuse to visit big smoke.
Cut your locals out of the deal and send application direct to Kapiti.
@Micky Duck am thinking that's the easiest method, might even be able to jack it up that they cut and thread whilst there. @zimmer not sure what you mean?
Will race ya, I also brought a suppressor yesterday (but from a dealer further south). Gonna drop the form in tomorrow to Plod.
I too wonder how long it will take to work its way to the supplier from there :D
Last time I went in to get the s43a done, they said it could all be done online now.
I did not realise till reading this thread that there would be any issue buying a spare magazine or sound moderator. Whats the story please?
They are now all classed as restricted parts and as such need to show or fill in form for firearms license.
So-- bipods, sights, scopes , scope rings, recoil pads, are still not a problem??
Not yet.
Which makes me think a day off work and a road trip are in order to get this sorted. I will call gunworks tomorrow and have a chat to them about their perceived time frames.
wonder how long before any oil filter with std 1;20 thread will be restricted item too????
bought a suppressor on sun didn't realize you had to show your license for one. Gee should i be asking people that come in to by small washers and machine screws and springs for a fal now...so what's the go if I'm buying the suppressor to put on a springer air rifle
an S43a for a rifle took around 4 months before the buyer received it and the other one i did was approx 7 weeks.
And remind me again, how is this making anything safer?. Just a shitload of work and inconvenience for both sides. Your cant fix dumb:sick:
Mines in for approval.......
Good news. There is a guy in Blenheim making suppressors so will look at his before going mail order.
Yep, not a fan of our local hunting and fishing store for reasons I won't get into. This post is not about that. Would prefer not to deal with them.
