    Question patetonga hunting

Anyone been into patetonga forest block? Heard there are some deer and goats up there? Went there last weekend but pussied out with signage saying you'll be prosecuted. Can you get access to this block or does anyone know any bordering land owners who are happy to let me access via there property?

    Cheers

    Josh

Is it a pine forest? If it is, then yes, you will be trespassed/prosecuted if you are found up there without the owners permission.
Even if there are bordering properties, you still can't use them as an ingress/egress onto private property.

Check the signs - who runs the forest block? Then call them on the phone and ask if they issue permits. Trust me man, if you get caught on private property with a rifle, the land owners will drag you through the dirt.

Not hard to find out who owns land these days. Do some research online and ask the owners. If they say no, it means no. These days naivety doesn't wash if you get caught.

You'll find it difficult getting info on access simply given to you on a forum, especially as a newish member. In most cases where people have worked to gain legal access to an area, they won't freely give info away. Obviously no harm in asking, and we don't discourage asking for advice either.

I'm drawn to the mountains and the bush, it's where life is clear, where the world makes the most sense.
