Bloody nice clear pics. Hope you track them down!
Not exactly covert poaching colours

I see no animals being taken, so best you will get is trespass I think. Good luck
Good pics.
Someone will recognise them.
Very clear pictures, was this a trail cam, or something else?
And... was it really only 35F (1.6C) in February? I better stay in the NI!
With a rifle over your shoulder it could be a tad more than a trespass I suggest:o
Browning trail camera. The temperature is always haywire with these cameras, which otherwise are very good.
Probably.
A fair few years ago I was given permission to hunt some pine forestry next to private land. I lost my way and ended up walking into some sheep on the private land pine forest, so I wasn't poaching, I got lost and ended up trespassing by accident. I waddled on out of there once I realized what I had done of course.
With two guys together not sure if they are at all lost though...
Look at the size of the machete that one of them has.! He means business ;-)
On the second day the two blokes appear to be looking for something on the ground ?? The first bloke ( 11th) - the one with the rifle doesn't look like he will be much of a threat to any game animals.
That's a big arse knife alright, must be some big beasties in the area!
Looks like a WW2 style bolo machete, had a reproduction one like it myself 30 yrs ago, similar cheap sheath.

now Say this guy n the darker outfit was standing there, in the day, as the pic is but he is holding up a Thermal...... What then becomes the discussion around that and the "reporting of illegal hunting" side of the discussion.... Are we there yet or is it something that (may) get shared on social media and complained about between others who are pro active in the responsible approach to recreational public land / private land hunting oppertunities..
im assuming this is on Private land , which a Thermal could be used in Aus, with the owners permission of course ( we are lookin at tresspass with a rifle / intent to hunt in the pictures on private i believe)
whats the thoughts or discussion around seeing other recreational hunters Thermalling the same area you have just been looking for animals in the past week, or similiar scenerio- is this something that Kiwis are reporting or wanting to have it stamped out (only way is by reporting per say, due to lack of enforcement- which no one wants)
the honesty system is alright in the hunting world, until it comes to inches, locations, how , when, who and what else :D :P
but with a trend to cut corners or 'slip' under the radar per say, the more that do this , the quicker will come the demise of rec hunting... there is only so much fighting an turning blind eyes that hunting orgs can push before the reality is too apparent to (i think ) warrant any more yahoos with guns legally chasen 'game',.
anyway, i just wanted to put this one out there , if ya can read between the lines it might make more sense
cheers
They do seem out of place.
Those pics are a full month apart? ( or maybe yankee date system)
But also observe the time of day; the pair are 8a.m while the hunter is midday. The guy in blue has the same boots, hat and beard as the "hunter". Same chap later in the day?? Something odd about this set imo.
Ok. Edited my post; but observe the times.
With the machete and and gloves I wonder if they wernt doing a bit of "gardening" rather than hunting.
Ol mate is wearing sneakers
They don't appear to be very covert.
1. F@#king about in the middle of a clearing looking pretty relaxed.
2. The bright clothing.
Just an observation.
I must admit that the gardener rather than the poacher was what first came to mind .
The rifle looks like an old 303 or similar with a very narrow forend and I suspect no scope , I suspect its an accessory not a true hunting tool .
The fact that they came back the next day minus the rifle but out for a walk is interesting
On the first day if you are confronted then you can say you were hunting and got yourself lost , you have a reason for being out in the scrub , sure your in trouble but you don’t have an animal on your back because you were never hunting in the first place .
I’ve confronted 2 people over the years at my place doing the same thing, it’s very hard to prove they are hunting your property if there is no kill .
But they have just scoped out the lay of the land and nearest water source.
I know you can ‘hunt’ in whatever you like...but they kinda look like they should strolling down a inner city street lined with cafes.....

It's a worry when you have a bunch of randoms wandering across your property; and can be bloody dangerous. When I was a kid I couldn't really go rabbit shooting back near our rear farm dam during duck shooting because dickheads would sneak up from the river (about 50-100m away) to blast the ducks on the dam. There were usually shitloads of empty 12-guage shells by the dam. I used to look for rabbits on the opposite side which was higher than where they shot from; right in their line of fire.....
photos are a month apart...what did blue shirt loose first time he was there???? bought buddy back to help find it 2nd time...unarmed on 2nd visit,MAYBE he realised error of location in previous month????
no I dont have a clue who they are....wasnt me,thats for sure.LOL
That certainly ties in with the Creedmore theory:thumbsup::thumbsup::o
