    Possible disease in feral goat?

    Hey all,
shot a nice young kid the other day was looking forward to putting it in the freezer when I found some weird growths/nodules/cysts/things? In the end I discarded it, thought it wasn't worth the risk. Animal was behaving normally, hanging out with mum and dad. The things inside looked a bit like a rabbit poo, or a black bean. They were the whole length of the cavity on the spine side partly encased in fatty tissue. I cut one open and it was firm homogeneous texture coloured sort of dark red/brown. At first I thought I'd ruptured the colon, but it was intact and they were encased in the fat.

So two questions, anyone know what they are? and have you discarded animals for suspected disease? Wondering how common this is, first time I've done it.
