Thread: Post exam stress release.

With exams out of the way, and already having to go north to visit the olds and drop off some gear after moving flats I thought id give my usual goat spot a quick look in the morning. Picked up a mate along the way dropped of my gear and went for a spotlight bagging a few a few rabbits and hitting the sack around 2. 4 hours sleep and the alarm was telling me its time to get into it. Conditions were looking good and I hadnt givin this spot a good thrashing In a while so i was expecting some action. Id heard the place had been professionally culled since the last time I went and you could see the difference. what was a previously barren place was waist high in growth and the neighboring forestry block had been replanted and had grown to a similar length which was in stark contrast to the usual of nothing green and and small pines with the tops chewed off. After a small scout around we came onto a small mob of goats (around 7) barely visible in the valley bellow, having seen us first they promptly began to piss off, so we quickly got into position and zapped the only billy in the mob and the biggest nanny before before sprinting off the intercept them at the hill we were on the game trail which heads into the forestry and ambushing them on their way through, we ended up getting 5 of the 7 and recovering 3 of those. They were a lot smaller then i was used to from this block being the now deceased, sole survivors of a once large mob. But were in great condition from the now abundance of food. My mate had a deal with a local baker and traded the back legs and back straps from the 3 we recovered for free lunches for the next week

Saw this goat peak over fallen tree and gave it a lead injection in the nostril and out the back of the head just under the ear.


These young goats were in good condition.

It sure is, good to finally done with this mob too they had caused a ton of damage. but now ive gotta find a new spot.
