I mulled all this over and think I will add space rock hunting to rifle walking and Grandpa wanders as my usual excuses for my excursions. Taking a rifle to ward of aliens might be used as a new excuse for being armed but it might be better if you kept that one to yourselves if you wouldn't mind.
