hi guys got me thinking when you see all the heads that are put into plastic bags is this just to stop blood etc or is there a real reason for this? ive done it and it didn't stop the fleas and there seems to be not much blood after the jaw and eyes etc are removed. but did find the plastic sound noisy etc cheers:thumbsup:
Don't no about others, personally only bag up when throwing them in a chopper.
Was going to say the same , I'm guessing a lot of trophie hunters travel by chopper and it stops the mess
could be that but one thought I had was if someone has seen it them it could be the just the done thing without any real reason for it. as I haven't chopperd in I have only tired the head to my pack.
yeah stop the mess when travelling, it doesn't stop the maggots, and still smells fucken horrible

I wouldn't call these trophy heads, but tibial a productive trip none the less.

All of these came back with me on jetstar wrapped as you see them. The only thing I did was at the airport I put two on top of each other and taped them together so that there were only two packages.
Note the hose on the tips, the airport like this as they have an obligation to prevent damage to others luggage. These heads stunk, but I wrapped the skull/meat in old t shirts soaked in insect repellent....no one was the wiser of the rotten smell.

I usually use muslin cloth instead of plastic . Only to stop the mess on my pack.
