A quick walk up the back

It has been a prick of a year as far as my ability to go hunting has been concerned. I have even been too busy to take a Fallow up the back. Tonight when I got home at half past five the sun was shining the air was still and dinner was a ways off so I thought fuck it I am going to get some venison for the BBQ.

Down came the .243, in went the 100gr Federal PSP, walking was about 175 metres, I saw a yearling doe, she'll do, drop down out of sight, sneak maybe 80 metres, crawl, 25, leopard crawl 20 (you stupid fat old prick what do you think you are doing, you left the army in 76. Nek minnit "bang". Slow stroll home, back on the quad.

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

No Toby, not even any knicks on the fingers. That was a long time ago by the way and a pure accident.

Close. But it is too easy and not what I consider as hunting ( even with the bloody sneaking and leopard crawl), more just shooting really.

I will be making a point of getting in the bush alot next year.

Then we should get down the Uruwera. I am beginning to meet quite a few on here that could make a decent trip of it. Definitely going to spend a week in the red deer roar.
