Thread: Quintessential deer spots

Hind and yearling at the beginning of an afternoon glass. Ruahines, ended up seeing 8 or so deer in the space of an hour or 2.
So many deer trails across that slip
I wonder what lives in here?.

Ruahines is a perfect place for a keen beginner who doesn't mind putting in the miles. I'm only 18 and shot my first hind and stag out of there this year, could've shot a lot of hinds that's for sure.

Seen 50 odd wild deer this year so far. starting to get success in the most jungle like areas in Tauranga, I've seen more deer than deer sign up in welcome bay. Going to attempt to roar/croak in a fallow stag this year.
