    Reds out of control!

    The back of the old mans farm is getting a bit silly. Might have to go for a visit this weekend

    yeah needs closing up for another couple of years numbers bit low makes the sixty in a back paddock we saw back of Ruakituri in about 1972 look average

    Yes I dont think they lasted long was next door to Francy Smiths place - me old mate Ken Lambert had the freezer at Tuai and a regular machine based there they would have got them be interested what that bush edge from Tuai to the Waipoa back of Francys old place holds in animals now be a few I dont doubt Woodgreen had quite a population back in those days to

    serious though that's pretty standard on a lot of farms that border doc that's hard to access.i see mobs like that often on the tararuas eastern side.

    back in 90,s we aerially shot 3 sheep stations back of Gisborne for goats Waimaha Huia and Papuni in two days we took 3500 goats of the I quess 10,000 acres - the Waimaha manager joked he could run an extra 500 ewes - I thought even a few more - so yes mob of reds like that be chewing some good grass every night imagine if one put a crop in - likely would not even get established

    Hunted around Tuai in the 70's shit load more deer now than then, Ken was an old family friend
