Thanks for your efforts in finding these Stug. I'll work my way through them before coming to my own conclusion.
Interesting reading, painful but interesting.
Worth noting that the moa comparison is being made between low estimate moa numbers and the peak density numbers of deer. Personally I feel this is Dis engenuous. They have peak numbers of deer set at 50 animals per km2. There isn't anywhere you will find densities even close to this in nz outside of deer farms
Skim read through these thanks @stug my take on the Lincoln one is decreasing Tahr numbers allows Chamois to breed more and fill the gap left from culling the Tahr. They pretty much said this so then I guess the minister of destruction will want to go after Chamois next.
